Global Wisdom Collective first created the Revitalize the Roots Initiative that seeks to protect vital lifeways and traditional knowledge, alongside and for indigenous communities, to safeguard sacred ecological practices and culture for generations to come. We work in council with the youth, elders, and wisdom keepers of each society to protect oral stories that we cannot afford to lose.

Jamii Asilia Centre became the first inaugural partner.

With Jamii Asilia Centre, the two organisations co-founded the Revitalize the Roots: Bikaptorois program, which will now be implemented, starting in 2023.

This initiative seeks to partner with communities to consult and implement supportive intergenerational knowledge sharing infrastructures to create lasting records of indigenous knowledge systems.
